The Aston Webb Building is set in and around the historic red-brick buildings of the University of Birmingham, on a peaceful, leafy campus only 2 miles south of the vibrant city centre.

We strongly recommend travelling to the event by public transport, as parking is limited on campus. There are frequent trains from Birmingham New Street to the University rail station, with a journey time of only seven minutes. This train usually leaves Birmingham New Street from Platform 12, with a final destination of Bromsgrove or Redditch. University station is only five-minutes walk from the Aston Webb Building.

Another alternative would be to park at Selly Oak station which is only one stop from the University by train, with trains running roughly every 10 minutes. More details can be found on the West Midlands Railway website.

If you do need to drive to the event, please park in the University’s North East Car Park on Pritchatts Road, B15 2SA. Access to the campus is via the University’s East Gate, on Edgbaston Park Road.

Our recommended hotel for overnight accommodation before BioForward is the newly opened Edgbaston Park Hotel which is a 10 minute walk from the conference building.
